Hemp is a bast plant fibre, considered to be the strongest amongst other natural fibres. It is a durable fibre for many handicraft projects. Hemp fibres are chemical free and eco friendly and contain antibacterial properties. Like Nettle, it requires little water or protection from pests and diseases to grow making it environmentally friendly
 
This yarn is fair trade product, hand spun in Nepal using natural methods with no chemical processing.
 
Uses: Bags, dish washcloths, rugs, weaving, basketry and other handicraft projects.
