Collection: TINY INTRUDERS

“Tiny Intruders”  explores the uneasy beauty of invasive and persistent creatures.

The collection incudes a Snail, Codling Moth and Tick. Born from a love of both my garden and fibre craft, these forms emerge from discarded steel wire salvaged from building sites. These twisted fragments left to rust, reshape themselves into organic curves reminiscent of wings, shells, and limbs. Each creature takes shape through the interplay of wire and natural fibres of cotton rope, linen, and Himalayan Nettle. Brought to life through crochet, looping, weaving, and rust dyeing.

The result is a tactile reflection on resilience and intrusion, where even the most unwanted visitors become part of nature’s ongoing story.

Each piece captures the delicate yet vicious nature of these tiny intruders, transforming disruption into a reflection of the fragile balance between nature and humans.
