Ortica is a yarn created with cotton and nettle fibres, twisted together to create a linear, even yarn with subtle variations in thickness due to the unique spinning process.
A yarn made according to tradition, without frills, but with a soulful feel and a range of minimal, timeless colours.
Composition: 75% cotton, 25% nettle

Tension:
Ortica is worked with needles and crochet hooks of around size 5. Despite its low twist, it is easy to work with and holds together. It can also be used for weaving and macramé projects.
Yarn tension - needles: 17 stitches x 21 rows of stocking stitch = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 in.
Yarn tension - crochet hook: 15 stitches x 18 rows of single crochet = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 in.
